The Township of Maplewood will be making improvements along the entire length of Lexington Avenue, from Indiana Street to Tuscan Street. The Township Committee has awarded a contract for $1.05 million to Riverview Paving, Inc. of Hackettstown, the lowest responsible bidder of the nine bids received. Roadway work including drainage, paving, and curbing will begin this fall.

On Tuesday, September 13 at 7:30pm, the Township will hold an informational meeting via Zoom. The Township Engineer, Assistant Engineer, and Township Traffic Consultant will outline the project and answer questions. They will also present a proposal to make Lexington Avenue a dead-end at the intersection of Tuscan Street and Burnett Avenue.
